An Update on Mindfulness

I’ve written before about Mindfulness at Work and the free mindfulness training we offer CM Health staff. As such, I was very interested to discover that this practice is becoming increasingly popular worldwide, including at London’s Kings Fund, one of the world’s leading health think tanks. It is now offering a two-day training programme on ‘Developing Compassionate Leadership Through Mindfulness’ at a cost of £4,995 per participant. And they’re blogging about it too. It’s great to know that CM Health is keeping pace with what is happening worldwide and that the opportunities available at a cost globally are available right here in Counties Manukau for free. It reminds me that we are indeed a leading healthcare provider and that our goal, to be the best healthcare system in Australasia by 2015, is well within our grasp.
